Privacy policy

The short version

Mailster has no user accounts. Most of our tools run entirely in your browser, and the text you type into them stays on your device. This site is supported by advertising, so Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

• No account data. Mailster has no sign-up, login or user profiles.
• Tool input stays local. The signature generator, subject line tester, mailto link generator and countdown timer generator all run in your browser. What you type is never sent to us.
• One exception: the SPF, DKIM and DMARC checker. To look up DNS records, the domain you enter is sent to Google's public DNS resolver (dns.google). No other information is included in that request, and results are cached briefly on our server.
• Contact form. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you submit so we can reply.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic request logs such as IP address, browser type and timestamps to keep the site secure and running. These are not used to identify you.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info and, in the EU, at youronlinechoices.eu.

Our advertising partners may collect data through cookies, web beacons and IP addresses to measure ad performance. That processing is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

Cookies

We set only the cookies needed for the site to function, such as session and security cookies that keep forms working. Advertising partners may set their own cookies in your browser. The full list, including the opt-out links above, is in our cookie policy.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal information.
• We do not build profiles of you across other websites.
• We do not send marketing email to people who contact us.
• We do not use the contents of a tool to train anything or to contact you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to certain processing, or to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests concern the contact form or our advertising partners' cookies — write to us and we will help, or use the opt-out links above.

Children

Mailster is written for people who send email as part of their work. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change. The date at the top always shows the current version.
